The Draft Interim Dehcho Land Use Plan has been under development since 2002. The Committee has been working hard on plan revisions and expects to go to Public Review in 2024, in which it will engage all Dehcho communities and planning partners to request feedback on the plan. After that, the Committee anticipates another year of plan revisions to address comments. In 2025, Canada and the GNWT will initiate Crown Consultations on the Draft Interim Dehcho Land Use Plan, after which, Dehcho First Nations, the GNWT and Canada can begin their plan approval processes.
